I am back

Soon we will see some pictures. My computer was broken and I am behind. Soon I will find my pictures and we have a show.

Christmas 1935.

I was invited by my Grandmother Trijntje Vonk to spend Christmas with her. She lived in a very small town called Een. Christmas day Eve we where going to the church serves . We had to take a very small walk there the church was almost across the street.A feeling you get to walk peace full with your Grandmother in the dark is so cozy, I can still feel it.The church was small but full of people. They all knew one a other.Again a great feeling and I was proud of my Grandmother, She talked to every one, and every one liked her. We sat close to a beautiful Christmas tree full of lights. We sang and prayed and then we got warm cocoa and koek.And every one got a small gift. Mitten or a scarf, oranges and some candy and we all where very happy.Why I am writing this is to let every one know how a Grandmother can give you that feeling of peace. It has giving me that feeling over and over again, for almost 80 years.

I am back.

A few of the pictures that where taking when Louise was here. It was good to see her and I am getting along o.k. Hope to be soon back to normal. Keep you all posted.

What a nice bunch of young men that came out to help me with the yard work.We not often make a big deal of the good people, they do care and I feel so good about meeting them and thank them so much for caring.

Stratton Vermont.

A few samplers of our trip to Vermont.The colors where beautiful.We saw Hildene, the Lincoln  family  home.A Battle monument , Norman Rockwell home and covered bridge by his home. A picture of the back of Hildene. Me and the chocolate bear at the factory of chocolate's Also saw Robert Frost, the poets grave.A very nice trip with great friends.

Harvest.

Lots of apples and no steam to work on them. I remember the pie making, apple sauce in the freezer and who will not remember the apple crisp.Sauerkraut with apples.and on and on what you can do with apples.Come and get them.
