Pigeon Forge TN.

I
In Gatinburg with the pumkins, and Marilyn and I with the background what use to be the longest bridge in the world in Virginia. Now it is the thirth longest.

Yes I am back from my vacation to Tenesee. We had a great trip and beautiful weather.High was 78 degrees, I can take that any time.We also made great friends. Three couples from Salamanca. They where the best. Our days where full. Lots of shows and many meals. Also the last day to Dollywood. It is nice but I liked the Great Smoky Mountains the best. We went from Gatinburg to Cherokee. Al the way across the Mountains. The higher we went the more snow we saw, I put my bare feet in the snow at one place, then we came in Cherokee I walked in a sleeveless top.The trees where in full color. What a sight. It also brought back some earl yer camping trips we took some years ago.

Voting

I voted today and it felt good. It gives you a real good feeling of trying to make this country better again. I am surprised to hear on the radio that it looks like 27 % are going to vote today. Why so few. I wish they had it like in the Netherlands by Law you have to vote. If you can not do it they will make that you can. Also they have maby a dozen of party"s you can vote for. All Religions party"s, Social and communist ,Worker and I forgot what else. But one thing I know more then 90% votes. The way we have it , it is so hared to choose you like this of one and that of the other. Some time you wish you had more selections. When one party wins they do every thing there way. No compromise. That is what I do not like. But I keep on voting and always have.

A visitor

There on the main road I saw a horse walking and wonder what that was all about. Then it came down my driveway and it was David with Woody. They where out for a walk/

The gift of Love

The gift of love is what I call grand children. I have known this a long time, but it was showed again yesterday. My grand daughter Kim was with me the whole day and I have not a day like that in a long time. We worked , we laughed and we talked. It feels so good to have some one close and you can talk about everything and we learn from one and other.I know Kim had a good time, but she will look back in later days and say my grandmother told me this or that. I do not expect a lot more out my live, but this week has been a great one. I made more friends and have more respect for what other people know and are willing to teach me. I am never to old for learning more and giving back what knowledge I have.

Nice people.

Trough a friend I met a nice person. My clocks where not working and my friend said I have a relation who likes to work on clocks. My husband loved clocks and knew how to treat them, but none other one in my family knows. So I called him and he came over and picked up the clock. My Grandmother clock also had a problem. It would not chime. So today Bob 'what is the clock makers name' brought back the clock and fixed the chimes on my other clock. He also put a new molly for the hanging clock. So now I have two clock who are happy again and so is the owner. It is so nice to hear the chimes again. There is one problem. Bob did not want any money. I try ed and try ed , said he has to pay for the gas, but I could not do it. So you see there are people who care about senior or they are just nice people.

Yes it was a great day.It started out with a lunch and Fashion show for battered women. Very interesting and a good cause. Evie was my guide and driver. The ride to the south was just beautiful with colors. Then we made a visit to Dave and Anna's place. It start to look like a house.I am in wonder of my grandchildren what they all can do.And always a smile or a hug for there Grandma. In went with Evie in the evening to her Orchestra concert. That was great. The Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra played in a Canandaiqua Church. The Mozart's Overture to the Magic Flute, and Symphony#4 in A by F. Mendelssohn. They also had a wonderful Tenor Mark Gizzi-Schmidt. So a wonderful ending on a great day
