Jeff 's Birthday.

Yesterday we celebrated Jeff's birthday. He is now 27 years old, and that is my baby grandson. They grow up to fast.

April 27. 1903.

That was the date my Mother was born and I have many fond memories of celebrating her birthday.It seems so long ago 1903, but then my year 1927 sounds far away.There are many ways you can honor your Mother. By writing this in my blog makes this day special for me.

I am so sad to see you go.

Crying from sadness. I want you to stay. Guss was so nice to me when I was there for Easter breakfast that he tried to follow me.

Health problems.

For the last couple of weeks I have been e mailing with my brother Gerrit almost every day. He told me weeks ago he had a pols of 178.I told him you better have that checked out. He has been back and fort to the hospital but today we have some answers.He has two thickening around the Aorta. Also a lump or so by his hearth. And he has two bad kidney's. The results of the scan are being send to a hospital that specialized in the veins. So we all are worried. Then it is hard to be so far away. Good luck Gerrit. I am thinking of you.

What is happening to Easter.

Yes what is happening to Easter. I do have good memories and I do not see much of how it was. I remember getting the girls pretty dresses, or made them. I remember going shopping for special foods. Then the bread and kuchen making. The house had a feeling of happiness.We had a great breakfast and dinners . Walks in the parks. Just simple living.But it was good living. Times have changed, special for me. Because I am old I still like that feeling. I want to go shopping today, but for what. I do not make the special food any more.I also can not stand that long in the kitchen any more. But I have my memories and no one can take them from me.Happy Easter every one,and keep warm.

I am so proud of my great granddaughter. She came over and painted a picture for her Mom's birthday.She was so happy to do it.Her face was red. I think from all the hard work.Granny sure had a good time.Good work Lucy.

N and J 40 the

Yesterday we celebrated Nan and Joe 40 the Wedding Anniversary. It was fun. We had it in a cabin in one of our parks. Happy memories.

April 15 .

Today 63 years ago I got married to the best man in the world.I was 21 years old and was on top of the world and ever since that until he died in 1992. Life changes but you never forget the memories and they are for you and you alone.So tonight I had a glass of wine in his memories.I also had a lot going on this week.On Wednesday I went to see Billy Elliot Musical in Toronto. It was great. Did not get home until 11 at night. The next day we saw Vicky Lawrence and Mama by Buffalo.So today I am resting, I think.But I had a luncheon date, shopping and calling some friends.Life can be interesting at a old age if you are looking for it.

What a great movie that is.I always enjoy a GOOD movie. I do not see many, so when I see one it has to please me. But this was great and to see it with my daughter, because Evie and I went.It is nice to have a special bond with your children. It makes life better. I also have a couple of picture of her sons.Guss and George.

A sad day!

Today I had to say good by to a other good friend. It hurts a lot, special when you went with her through a lot. 5 years of Ovarian cancer.I have done a lot of positive talking with her the last couple of years. Also every day a call see how she was doing. She was alone in the afternoon and it was hard for her to take. I have never been at a funeral where there were more man then women. Come to find out she has done a lot of dealing with men through the years. She also was a good baker and those men where telling stories of her generosity. Cookies where always there. I am going to miss you Mary. Now I have to get over it.

Things are progressing

I took a sneak at Dave's place today. It is coming and the beautiful driveway up to the house. I am impressed.

I just want to announce for Holland my new Great Grand daughter. she is bearing my name Katrijntje.

I count my blessings every day.Yesterday a other little great grandchild arrived. Little Kate.What a blessing Lucy, Molly, Freddy and Kate.There is something in the names,KLM.and F for Fine. Only the Dutch would recognize this.I am over joyed and no one to express this to.Two days alone and just thinking of it, so I am expressing this now on the blog. Some times this is what helps with my emotion.
