Health care.

Last Thursday I spent most of my day watching CNN. The debate was on between Dem. and Rep. The leader was or President.Having some knowledge and experience with the health care in the Netherlands, I wonder what was coming out of the debate.What I saw was a lot of fighting and to get there own way. Health care in the Netherlands is working and has been working for almost 100 years.Sure there are some problems, but every one is happy.On one of my visits in the Netherlands I fell and broke my wrist. My girl friend brought me to the hospital and the care was excellent. Also very clean. My first 22 years I lived there and remember lots of visits to Dr's Also through the years I visit my parents and went with them to Dr. and hospital. My Dad died in the hospital while I was visiting.I was there when my mother died. Saw her Dr.many times. Great care. Then to top it of when I got back to the U.S.A. my Mom's Dr. send me a letter and thanked me for taking care of her. The Rep. here say it is going to fail. So let it fail and they would get more new members.To me it looks like they want the President to fail and this would be sad, because we are having to suffer with him. Lets not play politics,lets think of a better way to health care. I can not complain.Kodak has been taking good care of me. But listen and hear Canada talking and they are happy overall with their care. Sure there are always complains, but we are sure failing a lot of people.

Different names.

I was looking at my grand children blogs and realized I am know by different names.It still seams strange that Molly calls me Beppe. That is what I called my Grandmother.So it brings back lots of emotions.Then the little ones here call me Granny. My Grand kids call me Granmaa.My kids call me Mom, our if they are mad it is Mother!!! My brothers call me Trijn our Zus, what means Sis. My nieces call me Tante Trijn in Holland and here I am know by Aunt Thea.Are you confused, I am some time. All those names for one person.

A little Dutch.

For who ever want to learn a little Dutch, here it is. Today we have a nice day. Vandaag hebben wij mooi weer.I went with my daughter to Elmira yesterday. Gister ben ik met mijn dochter naar elmira geweest.Today I am going to my exercise class today. Vandaag ga ik naar mijn gymnastiek klas. Let me know if you want more.

A proud Great- Grandma.

Yes that is what I am. Yesterday was my day with my daughters. Our once a month out thing. Also along came my two great- grandchildren , who live in my town. Little Fred had a great time eating by the table. Just a little bird that is hungry.No complaining our crying. And little Miss Lucy, well what can I say.Perfect little Lady.Well ma nerd and behaved, and o so sweet.She learned from me how to sip a ice cream. She enjoy it.I stirred the ice cream soft and there she went. One thing I did not do much was talking to my daughters. It is all about the kids. But then there is so little time before they grown up, so we really enjoy them. Thanks to the parents to give us that change.

Viagra!!!

Did I get your attention?Yes I am writing about Viagra.I have Raynaud disease for many years. My most complain is cold and purple feet Sometimes they are white as snow when the blood is out of it. I complain about it every time I see my Dr. It takes over a part of my live. Always feel it and trying to warm up, what does not work the normal way. So my Dr. yesterday suggested Viagra. I started to laugh, but she convinced me it works. It opens your vanes I did not get the Viagra. Have to think about it. Every pill has side affects. Also she told me I have the shingles.Surprise, surprise. I had some spot by my upper arm, but she told me they are calming down. But she would like me to have the shot for it. It is very expensive , so I had to call my insurance. I did and it is covered. So tomorrow I am going to have the shot. This is all new to me . The world of Med. has changed.I hope for the better.

First, second and thirth.

There is a difference bringing them up. I think what happens is that parents grow up. The first is every thing, you make more pictures, talk about them. I remember my first grandchild when he was born. My own children I do not remember that well But Jimmy for sure. I worked that time in the hospital and was carrying his picture in my uniform. And when I ran in to people I knew, I said you want to see my Grandchild?It made me thinking of it last night. I had not seen my great grandchildren a while and missed them. There mother had almost every day something in the blog when her first was born, but number two? Every day I looked at the blog, nothing new. So I called my grandson and said can I come after supper a while to see them .He said come over for supper. So I did. I had a great time.It fills me up with love for to see how a little family works. I know now why the blog is empty most of the time. Not just your hands are full but you just enjoy the two together so much that the blog is less imported. It is not that you love your first child our grandchild more but you see there are more imported things then writing our taking pictures.And your love is there for all your live to stay.
