Christmas 1935.

I was invited by my Grandmother Trijntje Vonk to spend Christmas with her. She lived in a very small town called Een. Christmas day Eve we where going to the church serves . We had to take a very small walk there the church was almost across the street.A feeling you get to walk peace full with your Grandmother in the dark is so cozy, I can still feel it.The church was small but full of people. They all knew one a other.Again a great feeling and I was proud of my Grandmother, She talked to every one, and every one liked her. We sat close to a beautiful Christmas tree full of lights. We sang and prayed and then we got warm cocoa and koek.And every one got a small gift. Mitten or a scarf, oranges and some candy and we all where very happy.Why I am writing this is to let every one know how a Grandmother can give you that feeling of peace. It has giving me that feeling over and over again, for almost 80 years.

I am back.

Volunteers.

What a nice bunch of young men that came out to help me with the yard work.We not often make a big deal of the good people, they do care and I feel so good about meeting them and thank them so much for caring.

Stratton Vermont.

Harvest.

Lots of apples and no steam to work on them. I remember the pie making, apple sauce in the freezer and who will not remember the apple crisp.Sauerkraut with apples.and on and on what you can do with apples.Come and get them.

Kristy and Nick are home..

A nice family gathering for Kristy and Nick home coming last night. Swimming and camp fire,also singing of the two sisters.We broke up at 11 p.m.Nice doing from Evie and Jim..

Silver Sneakers.

We had our picnic at Vitale Park today.Brandon always make you feel so good and he try's to please every one.Nice group and very helpful friends. The weather was great, and it is a beautiful place by the Lake..

Molly's Dance open House.

Molly gave a nice Dance recital for us. It is great to see the Great Grandchildren advancing in Life.

A nice eve at Dave and Anna. Good food 'nice company and a sunset.What more do you need. And then Lucy driving the car around the field..Little Henry in his diaper walking al over. And Freddy you are in between you  Brother and Sister, but you are a sweet hearth.
