A Sunday Concert.

The Rochester University gave this afternoon a Choral Extravaganza in a Church in Pittsford. It was great.They had first the Woman's Choir. They sang three Emily Dickenson songs. Then the University of Rochester Chamber singers.Then the Men's Glee Club.Then all three groups together and the finish was The University of Rochester Gospel Choir.What a afternoon.Over 200 student where there together. It feels so good to see and hear all those young people voices.

Why do we want a President.

I have been following the Rep. President debates, I learned a lot, also makes me think. Why is Trump for Mitt Romney. Because they both are wealthy and want to keep things going for them. Think about it, does it feels like that?I am a free thinker,I do care for the working man. But I see there are so many lies on the debates.They make them look better then they are.I wish they where normal people and explain things how it is and not promise us more than they can do.

Family members.

This morning I got news that a cousin of me had died in New Sea 'land in January.That brings back a lot of memories. She was a few years older then me ,she was a daughter of one of my Fathers brothers. She moved to New Sea 'land a the early fifty's. She had a older sister who was a visiting nurse in the Netherlands and helped me when I was pregnant with daughter Nancy. So a lot goes trough my mind.In the early years here I had contact with New Sea 'land, but it was to far to keep going.

Winter in the Netherlands

The winter in Europe has been bad. Special on the eastern side. So I wonder if in the Netherlands they had this winter the eleven City's skating on the Canals. But I found out today that they canceled because the ice was weak at places.So I know they are disappointed in the Netherlands.I remember a couple of years after my Dad died and I visit my Mother for Christmas they had the eleven City skating and all the people where watching it on T.V. Very exiting.

"Snake in the grass"

I went to the Mendon Players show last night. They put on "Snake in the grass". It was a wonderful play and lots of fun. It is the story of the Snake oil seller in the olden days.We went with a school bus and it was around 11 p.m. when I got home. Late for me, but I had a good time.

Civil War.

Tonight I took a other 2 hour course at the College. All about the Civil War. Very interesting. I did pick up some information on our trip to Savanah. So I did understand a lot more.The classes are great and great Professors.I got interested in it after reading"Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil"I did not knew we had that many Generals in the War.Good and Bad ones. Also the politics of those years where the same as now.

Valentine.

Valentine at the Diner. I got up early this morning to have breakfast with the family. Mostly to see the small kids. They grow up so fast. It is a joy to see them.Happy Valentine every one.

Handwork club.

Our Town is going forward.We are having a handwork club at the Library. Every Saturday at 9.30 we meet. You can do almost every thing in handwork, knitting, sewing or what ever.I think it is nice for out neighbors to get together and help one and other.I am a old fashion knitter. I work mostly without a pattern.Jennie had her Kindle to help her.It amazes me how the younger generation do things different. I am to old to start that way, but I do pick things up from them. Really you are never to old to learn.

Remembering.

Today is one of those days that I sit and remember, go back in my mind. I see me as a 8 year old coming home from school and there is a lot going on in my house. People that I do not know. Then I found out I had a new baby brother. I still see my Mom sitting in bed with the baby. I did not know that he was coming. Now things are so different. Lucy knew that Mom had a baby in her tummy and she was only 4 years old. I am trying to think what is better to get them informed that early or not.When I was pregnant with the first one, I did not know how she would come out of me.But I turned out to be a good Mother, and loved her dearly. I think when we let nature takes it course, things will turn out o.k.Now every one knows so much and are exposed to every thing. How can a young mind that working out is a puzzle to me.

Some one was looking for food. but where!

Around 4.30 p.m. I was looking out my front window and what did I see? A little bunny Rabbit, looking all over and nothing to eat.I know he is the first one to gets anything when something is growing. He better watch out, I also have seen a beautiful red Fox in the land.It has been a strange winter,but I like it.

Happy 65 Joe and many more. Looking back that was my age when Dad died. I can not believe it that my children are that mature. I must be real old.Years go by with out noticing, until you are remember it with something.
