You where born on Aug.30 1901. So your Birthday is today.As a old Lady I am going back in years.I remember walking on a bridge in the Netherlands that you where making.It was the three of us,you Gerrit and me. I must have been 5 or 6 years old. I wore a pink dress and a big white bow in my hair.You where my Idol, my Dad.The next outstanding time was in 1940. This is when you where called for Duty in the Dutch Army. I still see you winding bands around your legs, that where your socks.Then Hitler took over our Country and things got worse and worse.Sometime we did not see you for a while. Later we found out you where in the under ground against the Germans.How sad and afraid we where. What a worry you must have had. A wife and 5 children.Now I still feel the pain for you. Then after the W.W.II War I left for the U.S.A. with your first grandchild. You brought us to the Train Station, wearing sun glasses so I could not see your tears. How hard that must have been for you.You lost a daughter and Granddaughter.I still miss you. But what you where for me , still remains.I see you some times in my Grandson.Same nature and same looks. And my memories of you are back. Happy Birthday Dad. Your loving Daughter.

I useal do not write about my own problems, but I was so impressed by my Orthopedist that I want to write about him.He gave me my second Cortisone shot in my hip today.He also listen to me.For my Neuropathy he put me on Vit. B 12 complex and Vit. B6.He also wants me to see a Acupuncturist.He feel I have lived to long with my problems and need help.He hugged me and gave me a kiss and said he cares. You know that means so much to me. No one understood me before. Thank you Dr Bruce Klein.He is special because he means he wants to help you.

Kris and Nick home coming Party.

WE had a Birthday-Engagement party at Nick family resort yesterday. It was good to be together now Nick is going to be part of our family.They are so good together and both family's are happy about their plannings.I wish them all the good luck.

On a nice summer day.

Thanks to David bringing over Lucy I had a nice after noon drive with my Golf cart today. Lucy and I drove to the farm over the hill. No problem and lot of fun.Lucy showed me all around the house. The new toilet and where the kitchen is going to be. She is a little Lady with a smart outlook.I can not wait untill they move, then I can see her once and a while going on the school bus to school. A new generation starts out. I can not believe it that I can be around for that. Dave does a great job with the house, I hope he knows how much I respect him. I remember him hammering on or new deck in the old home with Grandpa.

Skaneateles

We had a wonderful Postal Delivery at Skaneateles Lake today. Beautiful weather and it was nice to see every one welcome the mail boat. Even the dogs came out on the dock. They knew a cookie was coming.It was a three hour trip. They do it every week day in the summer. Then we went to Sherwood Inn for a great luncheon.

Evie took me to see jim and Jullie's new place today. Very nice for a little family. A nice backyard for picnic's It looked a lot like our last home, a little smaller, but the same lay out. Then we went for lunch to Buckeboo Creek. That was fun and I enjoyed a normal meal after a week not feeling well.Great to have you four back kids. Love you all.

Wasted week.

This has been the most wasted week in a long time.So much to do and no energy. My legs will not do what I want them to do. My feet are cold and I put on wool socks.Is it summer? Summer is going out to nature, and have family picnic's. Before you know we are shut up in the house again, and then we wish it was summer again. I remember the camping trips, traveling with the family and the Love of being together. Things change and we make the best of it. Have fun when you are with your little family, times go fast. Now days I do remember the words that my Mother and Mother in Law have said.Wait until!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kind people.

Yes there are kind people. I found that out today. When you have a problem there is always some one who cares.I found that out today. When you become handy kept, even you do not admit to it. There is always some one who will help you.Why are we not more aware of the problems other people have. Our lives are so full of or own doings or makings.I believe in people and I do care. Helping others or showing them you care can mean the world to them. Live is so short, why not make it as pleasant as we can.

You never forget.

Today would have been my husbands 90 Birthday. Happy Birthday Hon. I miss you us much as day one.

Bed Race 2012

Our seniors still can have fun and it seems to me that the public enjoy it.Lot of work and it was HOT. But never give in, that is my motto. Races are for all ages.

Ice cream social.

WE had a Ice cream social from Silver Sneakers today at Vitale Park. It was real nice to get together social with my friends. Brandon did a nice job. Glad to be back in my air condition home. Brandon is dishing out the ice cream an we just sat and talked.

Henry I was thinking of you yesterday. Happy Belated Birthday.Not a nice time with the passing of you great Grandpa. Kim always has a remembering of her Grandpa, he died on her Birthday 20 years ago.
