People ask why they call the Netherlands also Holland. The Netherlands is split in 12 pieces. Two of them called North and South Holland. Because the Capital is in one of them they are using Holland often.I was born in Friesland, the northern part of the Netherlands.My oldest was born in Drente. That is under Friesland. As a child I have lived in all the Provinces. My Dad was a manager in making new road and repair. So we where moving all the time. Lots of memories.
