Remember our Freedom.
This morning I went to the parade in our town. It is one of the duties I feel I have to do.It gives me chills on my spine to hear the names of the ones that got killed in the war.But I did remember them and personal thank them.

Why,why,why?
Watching 60 minutes tonight the question came to me WHY. The program was all about our Soldiers and War.I sat there crying with all the memories I have. The feeling of fear, I understand. The show of bodies all around you, I understand. The suffering I understand. Never, never will that leave me. Life is so hard to understand, special the Soldiers that where in combat. I have been there and I have seen them fighting and will never forget.I was 19 years old and it still hurts. Those men did there job, but they did not know what killing means until they where there. It did harm to there minds and people do not understand, unless you been there. I cry for them tonight. I will cry for them tomorrow ,but also thank them for giving me the freedom.

Where do the years go.
Mothers day has come and gone.I remember so many of them. My own Mother. I am the only girl of five children. In the Netherlands they started with Mother day when I was young, but not many celebrated it. But being a girl I did go to the fields and got my Mother flowers. Then after the war and I was working I would stop after work and get a nice plant or so.My Mother realy loved it.Later when I lived in the United States she told me how she missed it. In those early years here we did not have the money to send her flowers. Later I made up for it.I still have a pot with some flowers that I took home after she died. Also a dish with Love you Mom.. I have it on my table now to remember her. Then my children remembered me every Mothers day. My husband made sure. I still see him going with the girls to the store and get some little trinket or so. Coming up is Fathers day, the same as Mothers day girls always remember. It is hard for me to those days, amd I know also for my girls. But one thing I do know it is how you treat your family is more importend then the gifts. You have that always to remember.

The last class.
Last night was the last class about the Civil War. I learned so much. One thing I was very interested in was how they got the soldiers the join by saying that Jesus wanted them to go to war. Trough religion they got them to commit. This was in every group of religion. I asked the question why there was still that hate between them, while they believed in the same God. The professor said I am with you.The Republicans where the religion group. Is it not the same now? History repeats it self. My question is the same as before the lecture. Why is there so much hate from one group to the other!
